I bet if I asked a lot of Edo people the question, “what do you know about Uki Dare?”, their answers would be that she is ‘Mama EdoJOBS’. Even though that is true, Uki Dare is so much more. As a matter of fact, she is what I’d like to call a phenomenal woman. One of Edo’s great sons of the soil (or daughter in this case). A source of inspiration to many youths in Edo and throughout Nigeria.

A Certified Hard Worker
You most likely already know this but I feel the need to reiterate. Uki Dare is a woman with so much passion for her work, she led the EdoJOBS team to glowing success. She is dogged, has an eye for spotting talents and would not stop until she reaches her goal. Little wonder, she has been able to achieve so many great feats at a young age.
An Embodiment of Beauty
Whoever said beauty and brains cannot coexist has probably not met Uki Dare. She has an infectious smile, dazzling eyes and a very enchanting personality. Take it from me, Mama Uki could easily pass for a beauty queen, Agbani Darego has got nothing on her.
A Mandela Washington Fellow
With a track record of promoting positive impact in her community, Uki Dare became a Mandela Washington Fellow in 2017. It is a flagship program of the U.S. Government’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
A Devoted Mother and Wife
Despite her very busy schedule, Uki Dare constantly makes out time for her family. She is happily married with two lovely kids.
Head of Transitions, Mastercard Foundation
‘Mama EdoJOBS’ recently handed over the mantle of leadership at EdoJOBS and is now the Head of Transitions at Mastercard Foundation. She still remains very dedicated to the empowerment of youths in Africa.
