Places to Find Love in Benin

So you have been looking for places to find love in Benin City. You have probably said “God when?” a million times and asked if you are a Potato or a doormat. Don’t worry, you are not. I’ll show you where to find love.

Here are ten places to find love in Benin:

Kada or Filmhouse Cinemas

Cinemas are great for romance, especially when you are in that dark cozy theatre. Just don’t engage in anything your mother will not be proud of. You could also find love there. How? Let me share the update. So you are at the box office counter at Kada or Filmhouse and you see someone you like. Use style to look at what movie they are paying for and purchase it (yeah, love is not for the broke). Once you obtain that intel, ask them to please take a pic of you. Stand by the poster of the movie they have just bought and casually say you can’t wait to see it. Watch love explode.

Ekosodin

Gangsta love is the new black and in Benin, there are only two places you can find the original version. The advantage here is that these gangstas are likely to also know how to read. Ummm, I’m not sure there’s anything hotter than a gangsta that is literate. Advice: always ask for cash gifts, as other gifts are likely ‘obtained’.

Clubs

Duh, obviously. Looking for a rich partner, hit the clubs. Wherever you go, Rave Lavida, Zigi or what have you, be very vigilant because they are so many wannabes in those clubs. Watch out for the ones ordering Azul and Coffins. Once you trap one, please make sure they stop going to these clubs because hmmmm.

Oshiomole Bus

No, it does not reek of desperation. Let me show you the scoop. Do not enter the bus until all the seats have been taken. Once you are on, stand by your desired person. Simply, wait for the bus to jerk a little bit, and then fall unto their bosom. After profuse apologies, gauge their reaction. Are they smiling and saying “no worries”? Shoot your shot. Are they unbothered? Shoot your shot at your own discretion. Are they annoyed? Please just carry your singleness somewhere else, rinse and repeat.

All Benin Markets except Oba Market

Rare gems are found under the most unexpected rough. The love of your life might just be under the sun in Benin markets toiling and waiting for you to come and change their life. Avoid Oba Market sha, e get why.

Phil Hallmark

(Read like an ad) Have you been looking for the son or the daughter of a politician or industrialist to marry and say goodbye to sapa? Look no further, with the caliber of people that shop there, you are bound to find exactly what you are looking for. Try Phil Hallmark today for the rich love of your life. Terms and conditions apply.

Upper Sakponba

Upper, as it is famously known, might not seem like a place to find love at first glance but trust me, it is. Want a strong partner that you can call when trouble comes calling? Then get yourself an Upper partner. Plus, their thick Benin accent, while not for everybody, is incredibly hot if you think about it.

Church

Another obvious choice and well-worn place people go to find serious love in Benin is the holy place. Sunday after Sunday, people scrub their real self and apply enough piety so as to find kind and gentle brethren that they can fall in love with. The only problem is, you might just jam one of those people who have also come to church for such ulterior motives.

Bank and ATM Queues

Especially in this period where bank queues look like a scene from The Walking Dead, there is no shortage of people to fall in love with there. Imagine being saved from a stampede by a strong oga or being offered water in the hot Benin sun by a compassionate madam. How will instant love not smack you?

Ring Road

Like we have always said, if you are lost in Benin, go to Ring Road. The same applies to your love life. At any given time, the best (and worst, unfortunately) representatives of this city are always in Ring Road. As for the strategy you use to get strangers to see you, I’m sorry but I have to charge a premium for that one.

Where else do you think one can find love in Benin City? Let us know in the comments.

Before falling in love, look at what you should do to prepare.

  • I don’t agree with you.. except love in this context is hook up
While church is overrated. People camouflaging as christians just to get laid is not love.
P.s. Love can be found anywhere though
