Review: Flow Lounge

One beautiful day like this, we decided to visit Flow Lounge because YOLO (You Only Live Once), ICKM (I cannot kee myself), and… you get my drift. Now, I was expecting a proper baby boy spoiling with good food and a memorable experience but what I saw surprised me.

Located at 31 Oghosa Crescent, off Oba Eweka, GRA, Flow Lounge immediately stands out. How did Flow Lounge live up to expectations? Keep reading to find out.

Space

First of all, Flow Lounge has a large parking space for your Benz, Venza, Lexus jeep, or whatever vehicles you might have chosen to oppress the masses; the Bolt geng (we rep) will also be pleased.

Now, if I thought the exterior was great, I’m glad to report that the interior takes that to another level. Ever stepped in somewhere and thought: wait, am I still in…?

Flow Lounge is beautiful, with a fine dining setting and upscale restaurant vibes. I’m talking round tables with prompt buttons to call the attention of the waitstaff. It is the kind of Instagram-worthy space that will get your haters all riled up once they see your posts.

If you’re not too keen on staying inside, it will please you to know that Flow Lounge has an equally beautiful outdoor space, which looks more like a lounge, as well as a rooftop space.

Now, I don’t know why they called it a ‘lounge’, that’s clearly misleading, but it’s kinda genius because that means they are bound to exceed your expectations. Prepare to be blown away!

Food

When we’d settled in and were ready to order, we were given an ugly menu with a very elaborate list. Our initial thoughts from seeing this list were: mehn, these people mean business. It was apparent they had a professional chef who’d painstakingly planned it.

However, when it came time to order, Flow Lounge told us that what they had written on their menu wasn’t available. In fact, we had to order a number of times because our desired order just wasn’t available. Finally, we decided to ask them what was actually available so we could order that. Maybe we would have still been stuck there ordering something they falsely claimed they have if we had not used wisdom, hmmm.

After all that order palaver, the food took quite a while. It took a good 30 to 40 minutes for us to start munching on our food. That delay was not great, thankfully, we weren’t too hungry, otherwise, our temper would have risen.

The cocktails were to die for and the food was worth the wait. Flow Lounge offerings are however on the expensive side. Their cocktails started from 6k, their chicken and chips cost 5k, Chinese fried rice was priced at 7k and Spaghetti bolognese was 6k. The cheapest item we found on the menu was a sandwich and that cost 4500.

Staff

The staff was great, outside of the fact that they were not too keen on saving us time by telling us from the get-go what was and was not available in the long menu. They were very apologetic where they needed to be and made the experience better overall.

Remark

We wish they would just call it a restaurant instead of a lounge. We wish that their menu would be true to life and that the food would arrive early. But overall, we had a great time there. There had good customer service, a cozy environment, and delicious food. We would rate Flow 9/10 and we think you should check it out too.
