It is not news that EJ Cuisine has an alluring space promising billionaire-type enjoyment but does it deliver or is it a mama-put in restaurant clothing? We set out to EJ Cuisine to find out if it would get us chopping and spending our money or wearing facemasks at the mention of its name.
Located at 14 Ogbetuo Avenue, Off Ihama Road, Benin City, there is simply no denying that EJ Cuisine is fiiiinnnnne, darn. But nor be fine we go chop las las.
Heaven On Earth?
When we arrived at EJ Cuisine, we were, first of all, met with a sprawling car park that assured us that once we could afford our Benz GLE350, it would be in safe hands there.
Going into the space, we met a fantastic interior. They changed up the decor. It was nothing like their former spot, which had been way smaller. I mean, is it the wicker-styled cushion chairs? Or is it the low-hanging lights? Do we talk about the plants that add a nice touch or the patterned carpets that complete the look? EJ Cuisine has a great space that will look good on any social media timeline.
While we found that there was a VIP section for the true ballers, we are not certain what exactly the criteria are to get there.
The Menu?
The menu at EJ Cuisine is very expansive, screaming options! Options!! Options!!! It offers a proper fine dining menu with Nigerian and international cuisine. I’m talking about a menu that offers peppered ponmo, Efo riro, and Chinese fried rice on the same menu.
While the food took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive, when it finally did, it was so worth the wait as the food was delicious. In fact, delicious doesn’t begin to describe it. Its presentation was also very great. I love the black plates and golden cutleries, it was giving.
The Staff?
We found the staff at EJ Cuisine to be professional and polite. Even Chef EJ, whom the restaurant is named after, is also nice and friendly. They will all make your experience at EJ Cuisine much more enjoyable and memorable.
Final Words?
EJ Cuisine is the kind of place you will go to and want to come back to. It is one of those staple places that you can be sure you’ll get a good experience in. It’s perfect for romantic and friendship dates, family and birthday dinners, and just a night out with pals. It’s also not too expensive and the food is worth its asking price.
