In order to lead comfortable lives, where we can afford all our needs and desires legally, we need jobs, baller jobs, if I might add. As young people, deciding what to do can be very tricky, especially as it regards passion and commensurate compensation.
Now, I’ll preface this by saying every job has its humble beginnings. Except your father owns the company, there’s no job where they pay baller money to an intern, so bid your time. However, as you gain experience, the sky is often the limit as per what you could earn in the jobs below:
10 Baller Jobs in No Particular Order
Petroleum Engineer
It is old news that petroleum money is like drug money. Once you start earning, the problem would be where to put it. This position also comes with many benefits like health insurance, free accommodation, free or subsidized food, official vehicles, paid leave, et cetera. Most oil companies have standard offers like this. When we say baller jobs, this is what we mean.
Surgeons
To be a surgeon is not an easy task, so it is no surprise that it comes with some financial perks. A surgeon in Edo State could earn upwards of half a million to around 3M every month. Just know that before you start balling in this job, you will face a lot. For one, you will find that you have given your non-medical peers a good headstart, as they would likely have been done with their first degree, gotten married, and started companies in the time you are studying.
Software/Web Developer
Ah, software developers, web developers, ethical hackers, IT security specialists and any kind of programmers are silent money makers. They could be in their father’s house making millions monthly and you will think they don’t have a job. While they often don鈥檛 know how to ball, these people make stupid money and the economy of the country does not concern them. In fact, these are the people praying the naira goes up to 1000 per dollar. If you see them in the road, bill them.
Civil Engineers
These ones are just like their petroleum counterparts. Now, you could start out suffering in this position. By suffering I mean earning anything from 60k to 150k per month but before long, you will be looking at times ten of that plus mouthwatering benefits and bonuses.
Product Manager
The fact that as a product manager, you can work anywhere already opens up your options. If you hit it big in tech or oil, we could be talking about bringing in a monthly pay of about 300k to up to 1M. And it’s not like you are even doing anything (na joke abeg 馃槶).
All Other Engineers
I’m talking mechanical, electrical, aeronautical, chemical, and even computer engineers. Engineers in general make a lot of money because most of the engineering firms in the country are multinational company or competitive local companies following foreign employment standards.
Chartered Accountants
I mean, once you have bagged those professional certificates from ACCS, CIMA, ICAN, or other professional organizations, you are basically set for life. You become what they call hot cake and offers of monthly pay in the hundreds of thousands will begin to roll in.
Investment Bankers
I’m not talking about those nicely-dressed-but-one-rung-from-poverty tellers who keep you in a queue for hours, bless their souls. No, I’m talking about the ones who work in asset management agencies, investment advisory, consulting firms, and Hedge funds. Now, that’s a baller job, nuff said.
Digital Marketers
Ehm, you could suffer a lot because everyone and their mother claims to be into digital marketing these days, but if you hit it big, we could be talking about half a million monthly.
Other Medical Practitioners
Here we have our GPs, specialists, pharmacists, nurse and midwives. These ones spend a lot of time in school learning how to save lives. When they eventually make it, they earn big bucks. I mean, what will a man not give to a doctor who claims they can save his life?
I know I missed some, if you don’t mind exposing the fact that you are a baller, tell us what you do in the comments.
After getting a baller job, you are going to need to invest all that money, here’s how.
