What To Do When You Are Stuck in Benin Traffic

If you live in some parts of Benin like Ramat Park, Sapele Road, and Ogida Barracks area, chances are you are no stranger to Benin traffic. Benin traffic can be frustrating and very random, but more annoyingly, it could go on forever.

I was recently stuck in one, and it got me thinking of what I could do to keep busy. Yes, I could take out my phone and flip through Instagram, play a game, or find someone to chat with online, but what if my battery is low or there’s a poor network connection? In this article, we suggest several things you could do when you are stuck, thank us later.

Think About Your Life

Is there a better time to think about your life than with the sound of car horns blaring and angry drivers cussing at each other acting as background? I don’t think so. You could really make a lot of headway when you do it stuck in traffic. It could be from simple things like what you will eat that evening to really difficult subjects like why Sapa will not leave you alone.

Practice Your Comedy Stand-up Skills

I’m not saying you should try to be Basketmouth or I Go Dye, don’t just start randomly cracking jokes, that will be very annoying. Of course, you can only do this when you are on a public bus. To do this right, just find something or someone around the vehicle and start saying funny things.

Look For the Love of Your life

If you are in a public vehicle, you can check out your options in-vehicle. If not, set your gaze outside the vehicle. You might want to look for a lover who is not driving a smoking car or some jalopie. I mean, you deserve the best, so pick a good choice and start dreaming about the house and the children you will have with them.

Tease People

If you are in a public vehicle, please do not voice your thoughts on other people, even if the person is not in your vehicle. You don’t want to tease the conductor’s mother, trust me. Just keep it in your mind. If you are in your own private vehicle, make sure your windows are rolled up and tease as much as you like.

Start a Music Career

Please, only do this in a private car – let the poor breathe. Benin traffic can become your unknowing concertgoers as you fine-tune your vocals. It’s a fantastic time for carpool karaoke. Just make sure you roll up the window and don’t act too weird.

I know that there are other interesting things you can do in Benin traffic, please share it with us in the comments.
