3 People Share Their Love Experience with Edo People

Love is a complex and unpredictable emotion that can bring both joy and heartache, especially if it involves Edo people. Just kidding…not. In this article, we will delve into the experiences of three individuals who have had their fair share of love and heartbreak in Edo State. From tales of being jilted before a wedding to discovering long-term infidelity, these stories highlight that indeed, anybody can chop breakfast.

Agharese: The Jilted Bride

When I saw the text, I thought it was a joke, but the joke never ended. He didn’t even allow me to beg him. I cried until there were no tears, I didn’t understand how this could have happened.

Agharese

Agharese had always dreamed of a fairytale wedding. She had been dating her fiancé, whom she calls Peter, for three years and believed their love was unbreakable. She’d spent most of her savings on the preparation for their wedding. However, just about two weeks before the wedding, her fiancé abruptly called off the engagement with a text and no explanation. He barred her from coming to his house and blocked her on all social media and asked all his family members to do the same. Devastated and confused, Agharese was left picking up the shattered pieces of her heart. Later on, she found out that Peter had agreed to his family’s wishes to marry the girl of their choice. They had never liked her, and that wasn’t news to her. But what pained her was the abrupt end that Peter chose and his refusal to give her any closure.

Friday: The Betrayed Partner

I can never trust a woman in this life. To say the truth, I don’t think anybody should trust anybody, except they are ready to bear the consequences.

Friday

Friday’s love story seemed like a match made in heaven. He had been in a relationship with his girlfriend (name withheld) for seven years and had supported her through thick and thin, even putting her through university. However, his world came crashing down when he discovered that she was having an affair with her boss. The boss of a company he had done everything to get her into after school. The betrayal was not only emotionally devastating but also shattered Friday’s trust in people.

Chiamaka: The Survivor

It was the grace of God that I got out of that relationship alive. I remember my mum saying she cannot lose her daughter to a violent husband, talk less of someone whom I wasn’t even married to.

Chimaka

Chiamaka’s love story took a dark turn when she found herself in an abusive relationship with her Edo partner. The relationship started off with promises of love and commitment but quickly descended into a cycle of physical and emotional abuse. Chiamaka could not stop making excuses for this person until it was almost too late. With the assistance of her mother and sisters, she was able to break free from her abuser and rebuild her life. Today, Chiamaka advocates for awareness and support for victims of domestic violence.
