If you have been looking for a sports bar that has the refined vibes of a rich-boy lounge, Barcode Station might just be for you. Yeah, you can rest easy while watching Arsenal or Chelsea disgrace their frustrated fans in a safe and classy environment. At 193 Airport Road, this establishment, which describes itself as a Dance and Night Club, is more than meets the eyes.
The Spot
If you have a small wheel barrow you are managing, know that you won’t be able to park it at Barcode Station as they do not have a lot in the way of parking space. Don’t get me wrong, Barcode has a carpark, it’s just not the most spacious and on a good business day, you will be hard-pressed to find a parking spot.
At Barcode Station, you are greeted with a space in front where you can get pastries, shawarma and whatnot. However, the main attraction in Barcode is their open bar. They have this wooden interior vibes going, with the ivy flowers and colourful lights that keeps the place looking pretty at night.
Unless you want to count the indoor space in front, and I don’t know why you would, Barcode Station does not have a VIP section. Maybe they are saying no to capitalism or are just not wise to the capitalist ploy, I don’t know.
The Serve
You can get beers, cocktails, grilled fish, and basically anything you can put in your mouth as your watch football and scream at the TV like you’ve lost your life savings.
Talking about what you put in your mouth, I’m glad to report that the food came early – if we had to wait, it wasn’t more than 45 minutes. While the presentation was just there – Barcode was not trying to impress anybody, it was nice.
Our Thoughts on Barcode Station
Barcode does not leave a lasting impression either way. It’s not going to impress you with glamour of very delicious food. But it isn’t going to disappoint you with horrible staff or food either. It’s just there.
So if you’re looking for a place to go out with friends. You know, to hangout and watch football matches, eat good food and drinks, then you can’t really go wrong with Barcode Station.
